YouTube is one of the biggest social media platforms of this day and age. It’s a (usually) great community where anyone is able to create, upload and share videos on the internet. It’s a media platform that is driven by a young audience and dominated by young creators. Channels like NigaHiga, Pewdiepie and Zoella are at the top of the ladder. These YouTubers have successfully been able to make careers making videos online.
Presenting great opportunities to those who excel, YouTube has enabled many to have success in the media industry through simply creating their own videos and putting them on the internet. What you might be surprised about is that there are actually a number of high school-aged creators on YouTube making a big impact in the industry.
So here they are, our top 10 teen YouTubers!

1. Trevor Moran

Trevor Moran (18) auditioned for the X Factor and has since gone on to create online content. A former member of O2L, Trevor now makes music as well as other entertaining videos.

2. Mikey Murphy
Mikey (18) is a self-proclaimed ‘average internet vlogger’ who ‘doesn’t really know what
[he’s] doing’. Despite this, his channel is gaining subscribers constantly.


3. RiceGum

Bryan Le, or RiceGum, is a popular YouTuber and is currently 19 years old. He started out making gaming videos. Now he makes more story/vlog style videos and diss tracks and has reached over 4m subscribers.

4. Alexis G. Zall

Alexis (18) makes ‘unapologetically weird’ videos on the internet. She has a great and crazy personality and has collaborated with many other channels like AwesomenessTV.

5. Maddi Bragg
Maddi (18) has a fashion and beauty-based channel and posts regular content. Her edgy style is really showcased in her “OOTW” (outfit of the week) videos.

6. Jasmine Thompson


Even though Jasmine (16) has successfully broken into the mainstream music industry, she did start out on YouTube. She released an album in 2013 and has continued to make covers on YouTube.

7. Amanda Steele


Known for her fashion and beauty content, Amanda (17) has gained a huge following on YouTube and other social media. She started YouTube when she was only in grade 5.

8. Dobre Twins

Lucas and Marcus Dobre (17) originally started out on Vine before gaining a YouTube following. They make things like challenge videos (including a pizza challenge, yesss) and other vlogs.

9. Tana Mongeau


Tana is a popular YouTuber who posts videos of her talking about her life experiences and just sharing it with her viewers. She’s 18 years old and is known for her quirky personality online!

10. Tanner Fox

The title of this video says it all. Tanner Fox (16), creates vlog-style videos of him doing tricks and stunts with his friends! What’s not to love.
